KhemRa Overview
All healthy individuals possess an inherent desire and need to rise above undesirable, dysfunctional, and unnecessary conditionings. This process involves both learning and unlearning. The method for effectively meeting this need is encapsulated in the Law of Auset.[1]
Transcending negative behaviors is accomplished through entering a trance state. The primary method for inducing and sustaining this trance is a deep devotion to a cause. The greatest empowerment of insight gained from meditation comes from a dedication to realizing your divinity. This devotion is expressed by a readiness to sacrifice all that is opposed to living in harmony with truth as reflected in the 11 Laws of Maat.[2]
Many spirituality students miss this crucial point. They claim to be committed to spirituality but cling to various human attributes in their lives. They hold their divinity hostage to their fears, lust, anger, addiction to television, junk food, and similar distractions. True commitment involves sacrificing anything that hinders the realization of divinity. This dedication induces a prolonged state of waking trance, fostering and sustaining communication between consciousness and the higher realms of the spirit.[3] According to Ra Un Nefer Amen, this is the master key for maximizing the power of thought and mind over matter, which does not reside in special words or occult diagrams. The true power of words and images lies within your spirit and life force.

Our ability to use imagery and affirmations to program our spirit for changes in behavior, learning, health, and performance is influenced by our level of receptivity. Levels of receptivity are linked to states of consciousness, which are determined by brain wave activity.
The least receptive state is the normal waking state which depends on the brain wave state of 13 to 28 Hz or 13 to 28 pulses per second. It is called the beta brain wave state. The lack of receptivity of this state is because the brain wave rate favors the will which opposes receptivity with its critical nature. Out of ignorance of this fact people express their desire or will to change in the wrong state of mind, the waking state. There are times in the lunar and solar cycle when the spirit is more receptive to the will. They correspond to the full moon and solstices. Receptivity increases at levels above and below the Beta wave brain state.
The first state of increased receptivity above Beta state is the Gamma state of 29 - 35 Hz (brain electrical pulsations per second). The brain enters this level of activity in response to a strong emotion occasioned by fear, anger, love, sensory stimulation, excitement, etc. One powerful emotional or sensory encounter is enough to program the emotion or sensation as the response to future encounters. This is due to the fact that behavior that is programmed through the Gamma state of consciousness tends to be of the obsessive kind.[1]
The first state of increased receptivity below the Beta state is the Alpha state of 8 to 12 Hzs (brain electrical pulsations per second). The brain enters this level of activity in response to daydreaming or at the brief moment of passing from waking to sleep. This is the ideal state for self-programming of changes. The brain wave rate in this state removes the critical functions of the will without affecting its ability to direct mental operations according to a plan.[2] Because alpha is a very relaxed state that is highly associated with falling asleep, meditation science adopts a number of devices to enable meditators to enter the state at will and remain for a sufficient length of time to accomplish their objectives. The essence of this method involves slow rhythmic deep breathing which has the property of lowering the brain rate which is associated with sleep, and at the same time giving the brain more oxygen which helps to maintain wakefulness.[3] The process can also be enhanced through the use of specially composed calming music, calming sensory stimuli.[4]

The second state of increased or ideal receptivity above the Beta state is the Delta state of 4 to 7 Hz. The brain enters this level of activity when we are fully asleep experiencing Rapid Eye Movement. It is obvious that in this state the will is out of the picture. Reprogramming of behavior and health in this state, therefore, requires guidance.[1] Here receptivity is at its highest.[2]
